The KVS PRT Exam Pattern 2024 is designed to assess candidates across various subjects in four distinct parts. Part-I includes General English and General Hindi, each with 10 questions, totaling 20 marks. Part-II consists of General Awareness & Current Affairs, Reasoning Ability, and Computer Literacy, with 10 questions each for the first two sections and 5 questions each for Computer Literacy, contributing to a total of 30 marks. Part-III, which focuses on Perspectives on Education and Leadership, carries 60 marks with 60 questions. Lastly, Part-IV is dedicated to the Subject Concerned, with 80 questions worth 80 marks. The total exam comprises 180 questions, for a total of 180 marks

KVS Primary teacher syllabus is wide so every candidate must read this table before starting the preparation. As per the latest KVS Notification, KVS PRT Syllabus  has been changed and the below table is updated with KVS PRT Syllabus

Paper -III: Perspectives on Education and Leadership

(a) Understanding the Learner

Concept of growth, maturation and development, principles and debates of development, development tasks and challenges

Domains of Development: Physical, Cognitive, Socio-emotional, Moral etc., deviations in development and its implications.

Understanding Adolescence: Needs, challenges and implications for designing institutional support.

Role of Primary and Secondary Socialization agencies. Ensuring Home school continuity.

(b) Understanding Teaching Learning

Theoretical perspectives on Learning -Behaviorism, Cognitivism and Constructivism with special reference to their implications for:

(i) The role of the teacher

(ii) The role of the learner

(iii) Nature of teacher-student relationship

(iv) Choice of teaching methods

(v) Classroom environment

(vi) Understanding of discipline, power etc.

Factors affecting learning and their implications for:

(i) Designing classroom instructions,

(ii) Planning student activities and,

(iii) Creating learning spaces in school.

Planning and Organization of Teaching-Learning

(i) Concept of Syllabus and Curriculum, Overt and Hidden Curriculum

(ii) Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, Early Childhood Care and Education

(iii) Competency based Education, Experiential learning, etc.

(iv) Instructional Plans: -Year Plan, Unit Plan, Lesson Plan

  • Concept of School Mental Health, addressing the curative, preventive and promotive dimensions of mental health for all students and staff. Provisioning for guidance and counselling.
  • Developing School and Community as a learning resource.

(d)School Organization and Leadership

  • Leader as reflective practitioner, team builder, initiator, coach and mentor.
  • Perspectives on School Leadership: instructional, distributed and Transformative
  • Vision building, goal setting and creating a School development Plan
  • Using School Processes and forums for strengthening teaching learning-Annual Calendar, time-tabling, parent teacher forums, school assembly, teacher development forums , using achievement data for improving teaching—learning, School Self Assessment and Improvement

KVS TGT Syllabus 2024 Subject Wise

The KVS TGT Exam 2024 for subjects like Physical & Health Education, Work Experience, and Art Education follows a structured format with a total of 180 questions, each carrying one mark, making up a total of 180 marks. The exam is divided into three parts. Part I includes General English and General Hindi, each with 15 questions for a total of 30 marks. Part II consists of General Awareness & Current Affairs related to the subject, Reasoning Ability, and Computer Literacy, with 20 questions for the first two sections and 10 for Computer Literacy, totaling 50 marks. Part III is dedicated to the subject-specific questions (concerned subjects like Physical & Health Education, Work Experience, and Art Education), which carry 100 marks with 100 questions. The exam lasts for 3 hours (180 minutes) and is conducted in both English and Hindi (Bilingual). The type of questions is objective.
